Raspberry and lime prosecco float made with prosecco and sorbet. An easy recipe to make a refreshing Summer cocktail.

Raspberry and lime prosecco floats, I could not think of a more refreshing summer cocktail on a hot day. What is fun about these floats is that they are simple to make and will impress any guest at a cocktail or dinner party. This is the perfect drink to be served with dessert or even as dessert.

What is a Prosecco float?

A prosecco float is prosecco served over either sorbet or sorbetto. This is an adult version of a float which is traditionally soda and vanilla ice cream. The prosecco is bubbly like the soda and the sorbet is an icy treat like the ice cream.

You might have a hard time finding sorbet in the grocery stores. It seems sorbet has been replaced by diet ice creams. I was still able to find sorbetto thought. Sorbetto is a mix between sorbet and gelato.
