An alcoholic freeze pop recipe. A three ingredient alcoholic frozen pop with strawberry lemonade vodka.
Adult freeze pops. Yes, you read that right! I have been seeing these all over the internet but they have all been about the pre-made alcoholic freeze pops. So why not make our own?! I am sharing the recipe to make these strawberry lemonade vodka freeze pops.
Over the next couple of weeks I am going to be hosting a cocktail party on Weekend Craft every Saturday. Make sure you stick around until the end to see what recipes my friends concocted for you.
Check out the video below to see how I made these and the step by step instructions underneath.
The best part about this recipe is that it is simple and easy! You will only need three ingredients
- Strawberry lemonade vodka
Now I tend to like more popsicles that are made with actual bits of fruit in them so why not add fresh strawberries. This will also enhance the strawberry flavor from the vodka. I chopped 4-5 strawberries and used my fork to smash them just slightly in a bowl to let out some of their natural juices.
Using the same fork add strawberries to your freeze pop bags.
Using a 2 cup measuring cup I combined 1 1/2 cups of lemonade and 1/2 cup of vodka. Make sure to stir!
Now my initial thought was to use the spout of the measuring cup to pour the liquid into the bags but a small funnel seemed to be a lot easier. Make sure not to fill all the way to the top because we do know that liquid can expand when frozen.
- 1 1/2 Cups of Lemonade
- 1/2 cup strawberry lemonade vodka
- 4-5 Strawberries
- Freeze pop baggies
- Small funnel
Chop strawberries finely and place in bowl. Using a fork push down on strawberries mashing them slightly. Place strawberries into the freeze pop bags.
Combine 1 1/2 cups of lemonade with 1/2 cup of strawberry lemonade vodka. Using your small funnel fill the freeze pop bag to the fill line. Freeze for 4-6 hours and you are ready to serve. This recipe makes 6 freeze pops but can easily be doubled or tripled.
The weather is finally turning nice and we have skipped Spring and went right into Summer. With Summer comes a great cocktail... or 8. So click your way through (responsibly) and find your cocktail for this summer!
