This is a sponsored post from Wayfair but all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Moving into my new (rental) house and starting to decorate has got me dreaming about the days when I no longer have to lounge on my craigslist couch. For years I have dreamed about a couch that is not only comfortable but can also have a pop of color. If you haven’t noticed yet I love teal and ever since I visited a friends home where they have a tasteful teal couch it has been on the top of my mind.

Wayfair.com has been my go to lately for decorating my home. From a desk chair all the way to updating my dining room chairs (stay tuned for a home tour). So I was excited for the opportunity to talk to you guys about Wayfair’s custom upholstery.

So I can admit I immediately fell in love with the Brooke Collection. Its a timeless collection with a hint of midcentury inspiration (in my opinion). Which is perfect for my eclectic style. There is also a teal color to boot! I am not sure if I would go fully teal or a neutral…What do you think?

The Brooke collection features sofas, love seats, chairs, ottoman and their latest edition the sleeper sofa. It’s also available in 12 custom upholstery colors. I have about 4 different swatches on their way but I think the Bevin Teal and the Hilo Flax are my favorite.

I want you guys to hear it first Wayfair is running a custom upholstery promotion. So if you are in the market for some new furniture make sure to use the PROMO CODE WFCustom10 from October 16 through October 20 to receive 10% off valid for all Custom Upholstery pieces. Wayfair doesn’t do promo codes very often so take advantage of it!

So what do you think? Are you more of a pop of color or a neutral when it comes to you furniture?

Sharing is caring!

  1. I love color when it comes to furniture. We are looking for new living room furniture so I will have to check out wayfair.com with hubby!

  2. Ow Ow Ow!! That line is absolutely gorgeous! Those lines and the classic look will never go out of style. I generally prefer to go the neutral route for staple pieces- although more of the greys and blacks and whites (obv ha!) instead of tans- then add color with accessories and pillows!

    1. You love your greys and blacks and whites just like I love my teal! Isn’t this line great? It’s pretty affordable too.

  3. I have to go with Neutral – that way it is classic and lasts a long time even if you choose to redecorate a room. I like to add my color with accents – rugs, pillows, curtains!

  4. I love the bold. but I’m not "bold" enough to do that. I’m a neutral fan so I can pull colors elsewhere. Plus if I outgrow or get bored of the color I don’t need to buy a new sofa to fit! They are pretty awesome though

  5. I am a Wayfair fan too… Great prices and cool stuff. I definitely am a bold color kind of gal, but am having a sofa reupholstered right now in a neutral. The only reason I chose a neutral this time is because I wanted the room to feel clean and calm. I am using artwork and rugs to add color. So to answer your question….Can I be both? : )

    1. Lindee you can definitely be both! I am sometimes both. Right now I have a brown couch with colorful curtains and throw pillows. Next time I am going full on bold.

  6. TEAL!!! That is such a rich, beautiful color! I’m on the hunt for an armchair for my bedroom, preferably in a pop of color 😉 I need to go check out Wayfair’s site!!

    1. Teal is my everything! I’m obsessed. I love a great pop of color or even a pattern. Can’t wait to see what you find!

  7. Usually I love colors but when it comes to our living I definitely prefer Neutral, or what we call here – "cream color"
