A few weeks ago I scored this table after a yard sale was over. I was searching for a yard sale I had found on my yard sale app, after going up and down the street 3 times I was about to give up. I stopped at a house with a sweet couple chatting with a neighbor in their drive way. They were standing there with this table next to them. I asked them about the street number and it turned out I had put in County St. instead of County Rd. in my GPS.Read More

It's that time again! Time for the Silhouette Challenge! This month's theme is paper. Make sure you stick around until the end to see 43 other inspirational projects.
Now choosing a project to complete for this challenge was actually kind of hard. With paper the options are just endless. Recently I used an old atlas to make cards for a cardswap. When I was choosing pages from the map book I had set aside Massachusetts and Texas knowing that I wanted to do something with them for an upcoming wedding. You see one of my best friends is getting married in July she is from Mass and her fiance is from Texas. With their relationship initially being long distance their states are a significant part of their story.Read More
I was lucky enough to be gifted a hand-me-down filing cabinet. Recently my craft supplies have just outgrown my craft armoire. I was excited to have a new storage solution but I never imagined myself to have filing cabinet. I knew there had to be a way to spruce this up and give it new life.
With a lot of googling I managed to come across a slew of cabinets that had been painted and linen wrapped with fabric. This was exactly what I needed to do and it would actually turn into the accent color and piece I needed for my craft room I am putting together.Read More
With the excitement of the week being my Silhouette Cameo being delivered I started to do some prep work for future projects. I have always loved and admired signs I saw on crafters blogs or pinterest, especially salvaged looking signs. Now that I own a machine that can cut vinyl and create stencils I am excited to figure out to make these signs myself.
I was out back by the loading docks, for a company I frequently freelance for, and noticed a small pallet that had been sitting there for about a week ready to be put in the dumpster.Read More
I get emails and asked constantly where I find the furniture or small goods that I refinish or give new life to. The answer is I am constantly looking. I find myself at Saver's, Goodwill and Salvation Army at least once a week. It has turned into an obsession. And it is an obsession that friends and family know about so I am always getting calls "we are getting rid of this" or "we are putting vinyl shutters on the house would you like our old shutters?" And my answer is always yes! Some how when I think I am running out of space I always find some more space.Read More
This weekend was incredible. Weekend craft participated for the first time as a vendor at the Friends of Attleboro Animal Shelter Harvest Fest. This was my first pop up shop and I look forward to planning a few more as the holiday season is approaching. I was overjoyed by the response I received from passer-byers.
Coming from a family who has roots in the furniture business, both commercial and restoration, I have always believed that furniture deserves a second life it just needs a little facelift or repurposing.Read More
Chairs are something that I seem to come across often and always at an affordable price. Now these chairs always need a little love and cleaning before I would ever let them in the house. I scored this great chair at the Brimfield Antique Market for only $5. Here is how I made it from a drab filthy chair to a cute desk or vanity chair for only $10.Read More
Two days later and I am still feeling the effects of Brimfield, achy legs and shoulders, but it was worth it! I am very excited about some of the items I got and have already started working on some new projects on Sunday.
Everytime I go to Brimfield I am always surprised by the array of prices. Some dealers are very high priced where others are very reasonably priced. It all depends where they are located in the market. My best advice is not to shop close to the street or at the beginning of the antique market. You want to spend most of your time in the back of the lots. That is where the deals are.Read More
I woke up this morning and had to put a sweatshirt on….it’s official summer is over. It’s weird because I haven't felt this way the past two years. Being a northern transplant in the south there was not much of a difference between Summer and Fall but back in New England I feel the weather starting to change, I can even smell the difference in the air.Read More
