A non traditional teal Christmas tree. A beautiful flocked Christmas tree with a mix of vintage ornaments, beaded garland, bling and teal ornaments.

Teal Christmas Tree

It’s not very often that you see a teal Christmas tree or if you do it is usually a coastal theme. This teal Christmas trees is one of my favorites I have ever done. It is so glam and sophisticated. Whether you call it teal or a turquoise Christmas tree all I have to say is I am in love. I didn’t know I would love a non traditional Christmas tree this much.

Artificial Christmas Tree

This flocked artificial Christmas tree that I have had for years. Not only is it beautiful but it is such a good quality. This 7 fit prince flocked Christmas tree is so full and the flocking doesn’t shed a ton after you put it up. This is now my fourth tree from King of Christmas. I have to say their quality is great and you can usually find their trees on sale or an open box tree.

Have you always had a real Christmas tree and thinking about getting an artificial tree? Or just looking for a new artificial tree? Make sure you check out my guide to buying an artificial Christmas tree.

Christmas Tree Theme Inspiration

Every year I pick a different theme for my Christmas trees. It is often joked about that teal is a neutral in my house. It’s my favorite color and incorporated into just about every room. So Why not have a teal Christmas tree and a teal Christmas tablescape. I wanted my Christmas decor to compliment my decor.

Teal Velvet Ribbon

The teal velvet ribbon really pulls this tree together. This ribbon was not easy to find. I had looked for weeks. I finally found it at Michaels. The soft teal on the white flocking helps the ribbon feel elegant. I don’t think it would’ve made the same impact on a non flocked tree. This ribbon is a 2.5 inch wired ribbon from Michaels.

Wooden Beaded Garland

In addition to ribbon I like to add a beaded garland in between the tiers of ribbon. This wooden beaded garland is one of my favorites. Walmart has them every year and at some of the best prices. The wood texture adds a warm and unexpected visual interest to such a glam tree.

Ornaments

Ornaments can be bought in bulk but you don’t want your tree looking like it was mass produced. While I do buy a new sleeve of ornaments, when I am changing a color scheme, I try to use them just to accent the color of my tree. I like to collect ornaments. This tree has a mix of mercury glass ornaments I have been collecting over the years. As well as new to me vintage teal icicle ornaments I found at a local antique shop. I found similar ornaments here.

Floral picks

This will help your tree look much fuller especially if it is an older tree that has lost some of it’s fullness. This also helps add some dimension. I like using pine cones and red berries but this year I added these gold glitter eucalyptus stems. You can usually find these on sale at the craft store. What I love about floral picks is that you can use these year after year. I have had some of these for about 6 years.

Mirrored Star Tree topper

Christmas Tree Topper

Finally I don’t usually like the traditional tree toppers you find in the store. In fact I usually try to find something else to repurpose as a tree topper. This mirrored star is actually a wall hanging that I found at a local vintage shop years ago and modified it to become a tree topper.
