A little over a year ago I was browsing my local thrift shop and saw this French Provincial end table for only $7.99. I immediately thought that would be a beautiful piece for my bedroom if I refinished it. Well as it goes when you have a project for yourself it usually gets put on the back burner. So this piece moved with me to the new house then sat getting collecting dust in my basement. Until last week! I had a long weekend off from work and I decided this was my weekend project. So I said no to all my potential plans and went down into the basement to paint!Read More
I've always had a slight obsession with maps without really realizing it. Recently it was pointed out that I have a tendency to craft with maps. I think this is because growing up my Dad was a long haul truck driver so we always had an atlas around or went on trips with him where he would show me the plotted out roots on the map so I could learn to follow along, these were the days before GPS. Now when the mapbooks were well used or a new one was purchased I always took the old one. It was the upcycler in me at any early age.Read More
Easter is just around the corner and I can't believe how early it is this year, April 5th. I've been asked to host Easter and my house is very small so the thought of it is stressing me out! So naturally what do I do? I craft.... or eat dip. So why not do both. I had a left over salsa container (coincidence?) that I thought would make a great vase for the dinner table on Easter. I ran the jar through the dishwasher.Read More

My sister recently bought a house and they are in the process of making it their own. Ever just have a vision for a project, clear as day, but it just does not come out at all or even close to how you expected? This is another addition to add to our craft fail shelf. I had recently heard that Mod Podge came out with sheer tinted colors. You've probably seen people on Pinterest tinting mason jars different colors, you can use the sheer tint Mod Podge to do that.
So why couldn't I do that on a glass frame in a chevron pattern?! Sort of creating a stained glass effect.Read More
