What Can Be Put Down the Garbage Disposal?

What Can Be Put Down the Garbage Disposal?

Garbage disposals aren't glamorous to talk about but let's face it I never want to have a kitchen without one. While I was renovating my kitchen Moen was kind enough to send me a garbage disposal for my new farmhouse sink.  I was super excited about this because my current garbage disposal wasn't in the best shape. It was a combination of the old owners and user error on my behalf. Mainly coffee grounds. I had no idea that coffee grounds were bad for garbage disposals. Coffee grounds can build up in the drain pipes and eventually clog your pipes.

Adding crown molding to your kitchen cabinets.

Adding crown molding to your kitchen cabinets.

We are in the home stretch of the renovation! Now I didn’t love how the cabinets didn’t go to the ceiling and I just couldn’t get over it. I know there was something that could be done but I also knew that I didn’t know how to do it myself and neither did my dad. So I headed over to the hardware store. Now I just happen to have one worker there that is my go to. He’s in school to be craftsman (not sure if that’s the right term) but he always seems to know the answers instead of looking at me like I have 3 heads.

Under $350 Kitchen Makeover – Part Two Painted Kitchen Cabinets

Last week's kitchen post was such a success I was so happy to come back Part 2. If you missed last week's post it was about how to paint your countertops to look like granite. Now with an updated counter the cabinets started to look a little worn and dated. Before even tackling the counters Jenny and Michael tried to update their kitchen simply by changing out their hardware but that was just the launching point for the whole project.

Every once in a while I just come across a shop that I instantaneously fall in love with. Remember the Wheatfield shop or Crimson Crane Studios? Well it has happened again with illustrator Geraldine Adams. She is an amazing Parisian style illustrator that lives in San Jose, CA. Whats not to love about art inspired by french cuisine & wine. Enough said. I hope you enjoy her unique style as much as I do.

This Weeks Etsy Finds- Kitchen Edition

I have kitchen's on my mind this week. I think it is because I am prepping a kitchen makeover post for next week (the 28th) and I am helping plan a kitchen themed bridal shower. Nonetheless I found myself pinning and perusing in the kitchen section of etsy.  I do have to say this first sign might just have to be my favorite. How many of your remember the soup nazi from Seinfeld. I almost died when I saw not only the sign but the name of the shop! How clever.
