I am back and mostly recovered! Over the past week my brother and I have been vendors for the first time at the Brimfield Antique Show. The show is the largest and oldest outdoor antique show in the country. It is about 2 miles long on route 20 and about 1/4 mile back on each side of the road. Imagine that then imagine it bigger! Recently I stopped by the New England Artisan Gallery. Now I pass this show atleast once a week and yet I had never been in. I wasn't even sure what was inside. I am so happy I stopped because this store was meant to inspire me.
I find it only appropriate that the week that I am heading out to Brimfield, the nations largest outdoor antiques market, that I share this gem with you. Two days later and I am still feeling the effects of Brimfield, achy legs and shoulders, but it was worth it! I am very excited about some of the items I got and have already started working on some new projects on Sunday.
Everytime I go to Brimfield I am always surprised by the array of prices. Some dealers are very high priced where others are very reasonably priced. It all depends where they are located in the market. My best advice is not to shop close to the street or at the beginning of the antique market. You want to spend most of your time in the back of the lots. That is where the deals are.Read More
