A funny DIY St. Patrick's Day Shirt for red heads made with Cricut and iron on vinyl.
St. Patrick's day could be renamed national red head day. My whole life I get so much attention on this day because everyone assumes that I am Irish. I hate to break the news to you guys I am not Irish... I'm Scottish.
Over the years I thought how fun would it be to make a shirt for St. Patrick's day expressing that I wasn't Irish. I love making shirts with my Cricut Maker, iron on vinyl and EasyPress 2. Let's get to crafting.

Here's what you'll need
Once you have your design loaded into design space you will want to click make it in the top right corner.
Tip: Remember when cutting HTV or iron on vinyl always click mirror design. You will also want to load your iron on to your mat clear plastic side down.
Select your material of iron on in design space and then you are ready to load your mat and iron on vinyl. The blinking arrow loads your mat. Once the mat is loaded press the blinking C to start cutting.
Unload your mat once it's done cutting (click the blinking arrow) and start to weed out the excess vinyl. Now if you have never worked with iron on vinyl before it is much easier to weed then regular vinyl. You will need your hook tool for more intricate areas.
Now that your iron on vinyl is weeded we are ready to add the design to your shirt using an EasyPress 2.
What is a Cricut EasyPress 2?
An edge-to-edge heat plate that heats up to 400°F perfect for any iron-on projects.
Tip: Preheat your shirt before placing your design down. This warms up the shirt and creates a smooth surface.
My shirt is a cotton/spandex blend so I have my EasyPress 2 set to 305 degrees for 20 seconds.
Place your design centered on your shirt. I like using v-necks because it gives you starting point for a center. I like to use a ruler to get my design centered and straight.
Now I am not sure what I will be doing St. Patrick's day but I do know one thing I will be rocking this Tshirt either with yoga pants or some skinny jeans, booties and maybe some red lipstick.
