I paint a lot of pallet signs and I share a lot of them on Weekend Craft but I have recently realized that I haven't shared my technique for how to paint crisp lines when stenciling a pallet. It's such a simple trick that can save hours of either touch up or completely redoing a sign. Nothing is worse than cutting the wood, assembling the sign, cutting the vinyl, and painting only to pull off the stencil and see that the paint had bled through the stencil.Read More
Pallet signs sure have been popular on Weekend Craft the past few months. So I thought today I would show you how I stencil pallet signs. This was also great timing because its Silhouette Challenge time and this month's theme was home decor with the added bonus of using wood. Needless to say this month's challenge was right up my alley. Now I get request all the time from family and friends to make them a project that they have seen on the site and this was on of those occasions. You may have seen this sign before here when I was getting ready to head to a show.Read More
Guys I have a slight problem and I will admit it. I have fallen victim to the pallet trend and I am not sorry. I constantly have a never ending supply of pallet boards in my basement (thanks dad!). Recently it was my friends birthday and she loves pallet signs. So it seemed like a no brainer to make her one. She recently bought a house in the coastal beach town of Bristol, RI. Now if you live in Bristol you are proud of it especially in the summer. The town is known nationally as the oldest 4th of July celebration celebrating since 1785. The oldest continuous celebration of it's kind.
Also it's the second Monday of the month. You know what that means right? It's the Silhouette Challenge! This months theme is Summer so make sure you stick around until the end for 14 Summer projects all made from a Silhouette!Read More

It's that time again! Silhouette Challenge time! This months theme was all about home decor. Which is very appropriate since I just moved into my new home. Do you know I don't even have one thing hanging on my wall yet? I just can't decide what sort of style I am leaning towards. Anyway I had two big events coming up (Signature Finishes opening and Brimfield) where I needed to create some pallet signs to sell. So I thought I would share those with you this month.Read More
With the excitement of the week being my Silhouette Cameo being delivered I started to do some prep work for future projects. I have always loved and admired signs I saw on crafters blogs or pinterest, especially salvaged looking signs. Now that I own a machine that can cut vinyl and create stencils I am excited to figure out to make these signs myself.
I was out back by the loading docks, for a company I frequently freelance for, and noticed a small pallet that had been sitting there for about a week ready to be put in the dumpster.Read More
