Future plans for an open concept kitchen and living room

Future plans for an open concept kitchen and living room

Currently I am in the midst of phase one of my kitchen renovation. Where I am installing butcher block counters, painting my cabinets and removing and adding a new backsplash. So why is this only phase one? Because the second phase involves knocking down walls, adding hardwood floors and refinishing the old hardwoods in the house.

New England Artisan Gallery

Recently I stopped by the New England Artisan Gallery. Now I pass this show atleast once a week and yet I had never been in. I wasn't even sure what was inside. I am so happy I stopped because this store was meant to inspire me.

October and Chalk Paint

October and Chalk Paint

I realize that today is the 2 month anniversary of the blog! I want to thank those of you who have taken the time to read the blog and like our facebook page. I hope to continue working on projects and and writing blog posts for years to come. As always feel free to reach out to me via facebook or the about section of the website.

October proves to be one of my busiest months. I realized when starting this blog it may be hard to constantly create original content if my freelancing schedule picked up. I think of all the things that I can do with that money, like pay back my student loans, but we all know I will end up spending it on more items to refinish. As if my garage and project list wasn't full enough.

Everytime I go to Brimfield I am always surprised by the array of prices. Some dealers are very high priced where others are very reasonably priced. It all depends where they are located in the market. My best advice is not to shop close to the street or at the beginning of the antique market. You want to spend most of your time in the back of the lots. That is where the deals are.
